Charity Netwalking/Tour – Sinai Park House, Burton on Trent

With Health and Wellbeing an important factor for all then we are holding a number of Charity Netwalking events across the Midland’s region throughout the year.

Join us for this in June where we will be talking a walk up the hill to Sinai Park House, where we will have an opportunity to have a look around the house and gardens whilst learning about it’s history, and ghosts from the owner Kate.

Sinai Park House has amazing views over Staffordshire and the river Trent at its major north and south crossing points, the location of Sinai Park House was vital for Romans, Medieval monks, English Civil War armies, and English aristocracy. It all happened in Burton on Trent – never mind its famous fine ales.

The historic site of Sinai was first built on by the de Schobenhales in the 1200s with a stone manor house and a moat. The moat on its own is a scheduled ancient monument.

Sinai Park House Trust is dedicated not just to saving the Grade II* timber framed buildings at Sinai, but to re-enabling access to the joyous, transformational and healing powers this site has always been able to offer.

Throughout the project the Trust aims not only to rescue the buildings at risk, but to create a biodiverse landscape to benefit visitors that will access the nature and heritage of Sinai Park House.

The restoration project will also support the habitat and protection of the great crested newts currently known to exist within the Sinai Park House grounds.

Its 10-year environmental management plan will also encourage a wider range of British native plant and animal species through a range of biodiversity enhancements.

All monies raised from this event will go back to the trust to support the restoration of this historical site.

Full details and how to book will be announced shortly.
